A well-respected global insurance broker is looking to recruit an SME Account Handler due to the growth of one of its new teams in Leeds.
As Account Handler you will be responsible for generating revenue from new clients via email and via inbound and outbound calls using product knowledge and sales skills. A key aspect of this post will revolve around building rapport with customers, advising them on suitable insurance products and what the relevant payments options are. You will also handle any general queries, and be on hand to liaise with underwriters and insurance partners on all customer referrals.
It’s important to have excellent sales and cross-selling skills for this role. You will need a customer focused mentality and with the ability to drive exceptional customer service. You’ll also be able to think on your feet to deal with complex queries, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
Previous small business insurance experience would be preferred however you must be able to bring high levels of enthusiasm to learn and develop the necessary technical sales skills through feedback and coaching from others.
