SME Account Handler required to join a highly thought of independent insurance broker based in Leeds due to company growth.
As Account Handler you will mainly be involved in managing an existing book of renewals, where you will place and renew business on behalf of a range of SME clients, across a broad range of sectors. You will need to establish and develop effective working relationships with Insurers, negotiate and secure renewals, and process any policy endorsements. Another key part of the role will be to handle general client queries and general policy administration.
You will be setting up insurance policies for products such as Professional Indemnity, Liability, Motor Fleet and Commercial Combined, so it’s important for this role that you can bring some previous knowledge or experience preferably gained from either an underwriter or insurance broker. You will ideally have a hands on, pro-active approach with the capability to build strong levels of rapport with clients. Progress made towards industry qualifications under the CII would be an advantage but not essential.
