Claims Manager required to join a well respected, national insurance broker with recognisable and leading brand within the industry
This is a cross class broker claims role supporting clients ranging from local SME`s to large national corporates as well as managing a team of 5 other Claims Handlers.
The role is split roughly 70% hands on claims work, 30% management, leadership, strategy and operations
Requirement to manage claims from start to finish for a range of business sectors and effectively manage your own case-load. It is important to be comfortable dealing with a range of classes of claims
You will advise clients on how to make claims, log new notifications, and update all records accurately on the system. On a daily basis you will liaise with Insurers, Loss Adjusters, Surveyors and internal colleagues, and keep the client informed on the progress of the claim.
The case load would typically be EL/PL, Property, BI, PI, Travel, Fleet, GIT, Marine and Cyber.
There is some requirement to meet with clients on a face to face basis from time to time.
The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge and the confidence and tenacity to challenge insurers in-order to achieve fair outcomes on-behalf of clients.
It is important for this role, that you can bring some previous experience of managing commercial insurance claims. Insurance broking experience would also be advantageous. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are the other key skills for this role, along with the ability to deal with customers calmly and sympathetically.
Some previous team management or leaderships experience is also essential and ability to demonstrate previous mentoring and coaching of less experienced claims handlers.
