The Role

This is a cross class broker claims role supporting clients ranging from local SME`s to large national corporates.
As a Claims Handler you will be required to join the existing claims team and manage claims from start to finish for a range of business sectors and effectively manage your own case-load. It is also important that the successful candidate will provide occasional support to other members of the team and be comfortable dealing with a range of classes of claims
You will advise clients on how to make claims, log new notifications, and update all records accurately on the system. On a daily basis you will liaise with Insurers, Loss Adjusters, Surveyors and internal colleagues, and keep the client informed on the progress of the claim.
The case load would typically be EL/PL, Property, BI, PI, Travel, and D&O. Motor Claims are outsourced but some oversight is required.

The Person

The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge and the confidence and tenacity to challenge insurers in-order to achieve fair outcomes on-behalf of clients.
It is important for this role, that you can bring some previous experience of managing commercial insurance claims. Insurance broking experience would also be advantageous. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are the other key skills for this role, along with the ability to deal with customers calmly and sympathetically.
